At Mahar, chemistry is introduced to freshmen during Intro. to Physical Science. As juniors, students can choose between “Chemistry” and “Honors Chemistry”. The latter has  a greater emphasis on math and a somewhat faster pace. For those who want to pursue chemistry further, “Advanced Honors Chemistry” can be taken senior year.
