SPORTS DISMISSAL

The varsity baseball team will be dismissed at 1:45 today.

 

MCAS TESTING TODAY FOR GRADES 7 AND 8

There will be MCAS testing today for grades 7 and 8.  Students will enter through the cafeteria at 7:23 where there will be a hot breakfast.  At 7:38 students will proceed to their testing rooms.  For students in grades 9 – 12, there will be a delayed opening.  Doors will open at 10:30, classes will begin at 10:40. THERE WILL BE NO LATE BUS TODAY.

 

MCAS TESTING FOR GRADE 8 ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY

Students in grade 8 will be taking the STE MCAS on Wednesday and Thursday.  THERE WILL BE NO DELAYED OPENING.  All students will arrive for a 7:45 start.  Grade 8 students will report to their testing sites and have breakfast in the classroom before testing begins.

 

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Our next meeting is tomorrow from 2:15 – 3:00 in the Charlotte Ryan Theater.

 

KEY CLUB

There will be a Key Club meeting tomorrow beginning at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Please have departure rides here for 8 p.m.

 

2 FREE GOLF LESSONS FOR 10 MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

The Ellinwood Country Club will provide 2 free golf lessons for up to 10 middle school students.  The dates for the lessons have changed.  The new dates are June 6 and 7 from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m.  Please sign up with Mr. Woodward, the Athletic Director, ASAP.

 

FOOTBALL CHEERING TRYOUTS

Football cheering tryouts will be held on Wednesday, May 30th and Thursday, May 31st in the Charlotte Ryan Theater.  This will be a 2 day tryout.

 

MAHAR CANOE AND KAYAK CLUB

The Canoe and Kayak Club will be paddling Thursday after school (weather permitting).  If you would like to join us, get a registration form from Mrs. Normandin in C14 and get it back to her before Thursday. Paddle for life!

 

 

FISH ‘N GAME CLUB

Fish’N Game Club members should check their Mahar email for a google form regarding the Spring Fishing Derby this Saturday May 19. See Ms. Gonciarz or Mr. Duguay if you have any questions. 

 

FRIENDLY TOWN LIVE CONCERT

This Friday from 7 – 9 p.m., touring group the Reprobate Blues Band will perform a Friendly Town Live concert at Butterfield Park.  The concert is free for all ages.  There will be free candy while supplies last.  If it rains, the concert moves to the Orange Town Hall.

 

FOOD DRIVE

The Mahar Key Club and the Senior National Honor Society are collecting can goods and non-perishable food items for the local food drive on May 15.  Collection of food will be before school in the high school lobby today.  This collection benefits all the local food pantries; please help out. 

 

Today’s lunch is fish sandwich.
