85th Day of School

 

LATE BUS

Students must sign up for the late bus during their lunch time. The book will be located in the cafeteria. Please make sure to write your first name and last name when you sign up and also list the teacher you will be staying with.

 

LOST AND FOUND

Please check the lost and found located in the gym, middle school office and high school office for any items you are missing.  Items that are not claimed will be donated to charity on Friday, January 12th.

 

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship Booklet #1 is now available in Student Services and on the school website.  Also, information is now available in Student Services for the Greater Athol Area Advocates for Families with Special Needs Scholarship.  Any senior or post graduate planning to pursue a career that would support people with disabilities, has a disability or a parent or sibling with a disability may apply.  The deadline is Friday, February 9, 2018.

 

PEER MEDIATION

All peer mediators are welcome to attend the seminar being held this Thursday at 10:00 in the Kermit Cook Auditorium. 

 

MONTY TECH LUNCH VISIT RESCHEDULED

For any 8th grade student interested in attending Monty Tech next year, Kim Curry, Dean of Admissions, will be at Mahar on Wednesday, January 17th during lunch period to answer any questions and review the application process.

 

MAKER EXPO

Students and Teachers a-like are welcome at the Maker Expo this Friday the 12th from 

9:11 - 10:40 in the Mahar Library.  We will be showcasing 18 student designed projects for your viewing pleasure.  Check out schoolskunkworks on instagram for teasers.  

 

WINTER CARNIVAL

Registration forms for Winter Carnival ice hockey, volleyball and snow sculpture are available from Miss Smith before school in the Key Club room of the library through January 11th.

 

 

KEY CLUB DANCE

The Key Club Snow Ball is this Saturday from 7:00 – 10:00 in the Mahar cafeteria.  The dance is for students in grades 9 –12 and features D.J. Mr. Dan Kirouac.  Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $6.00 at the door.  They will be on sale in the lobby during lunch on Thursday and Friday.  Senior high students must sign guests up with Miss Smith in the Key Club room of the library before school.  Guests must be signed up by 2 p.m. on Friday.

 

Today’s lunch is grilled cheese and choice of soup.
