120th Day of School

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS

Students are reminded that teachers are not available for extra help or makeup on Monday afternoons. Students who would like to stay after school on Mondays to complete work or students who are waiting for sports practices to start, are to report to the cafeteria by 2:15. Students should not wander the building at that time.

 

SET DESIGN COMPETITION – CORAL PROPS FOR THE MUSICAL

Students can compete to win a first prize of $50 by creating coral set pieces for the Musical. Students can work in teams up to 2 students. Pieces are due this Friday so come down and see Ms. Miller or Ms. Belanger for more details!

 

MAHAR’S GOT TALENT AUDITIONS

Auditions for Mahar’s Got Talent will be tomorrow from 2:00 – 3:00.  See Miss Smith in the Key Club area of the library to sign up.

 

SENIORS

Scholarship Booklet #3 is now available both on the school website and in the Student Services Office.

 

SPRING SPORT SIGN UPS

Spring sport sign-ups will be held tomorrow at 2:10 in the high school gym.

 

SOS

The next SOS meeting is Wednesday from 3:00 – 5:00 in room H03.  Anyone is welcome! Please see Mrs. Sullivan if you have any questions.

 

COLLEGE FAIR

Field trip permission forms are now available for the National Association of College Admissions College Fair in Springfield, happening on Monday, April 9th. This trip is free (students must bring lunch money or a bagged lunch) and is available for the first forty juniors to sign up. 

 

 

FISH ‘N GAME CLUB’S 60TH ANNUAL GAME SUPPER

The Fish'N Game Club will be hosting its 60th Annual Game Supper this Thursday beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the Mahar Cafeteria. The evening includes a menu featuring moose, deer, bear, trout, and pheasant donated by local sportsmen, awards presentation, and fantastic raffle prizes. Tickets are $15 and are available through club members, Ms. Gonciarz, Mr. Duguay, and at the door. 

 

CRIMINAL JUSTICE FIELD TRIP

Are you interested in a career in Criminal Justice? On Wednesday, March 21st, students from

R.C. Mahar will visit the Franklin County Sheriff's Office & House of Corrections in Greenfield for an information session on career pathways and training opportunities with the Sheriff's Department and a tour of the facility.  This field trip is open to students in Grades 10-12, space is limited to 15 students and must be in good academic standing.  Permission slips are available in Student Services and are due by this Wednesday.  The bus will leave school at 8:15 and return by 11:45.

 

COLLEGE VISIT FOR SENIORS

A representative from the University of New England will be in Student Services on Wednesday, at 8:30 a.m.  If you are interested in seeing the representative from this college, please sign up in either Student Services or your Health class.  Please remember to get your college visit pass after signing up.

 

KEY CLUB CAN DRIVE

On Friday, March 16, and March 23, the Key Club will be collecting clean, redeemable cans and bottles from students in the office lobby in the morning.  All profits go to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children to fight child abuse.  Please help this worthwhile cause. 

 

Today’s lunch is spaghetti and sauce.
