LATE BUS SIGN UPS

Students must sign up for the late bus during their lunch time. The book will be located in the cafeteria. Please make sure to write your first name and last name when you sign up and also list the teacher you will be staying with.

 

SET DESIGN COMPETITION – CORAL PROPS FOR THE MUSICAL

Students can compete to win a first prize of $50 by creating coral set pieces for the Musical. Students can work in teams up to 2 students. Pieces are due this Friday so come down and see Ms. Miller or Ms. Belanger for more details!

 

MAHAR’S GOT TALENT AUDITIONS

Auditions for Mahar’s Got Talent will be today from 2:00 – 3:00.  See Miss Smith in the Key Club area of the library to sign up.

 

SPRING SPORT SIGN UPS

Spring sport sign-ups will be held today at 2:10 in the high school gym.

The next SOS meeting is tomorrow from 3:00 – 5:00 in room H03.  Anyone is welcome! Please see Mrs. Sullivan if you have any questions.

 

KEY CLUB MEETING

There will be a Key Club meeting tomorrow beginning at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Please have departure rides here for 8 p.m.

 

COLLEGE FAIR

Field trip permission forms are now available for the National Association of College Admissions College Fair in Springfield, happening on Monday, April 9th. This trip is free (students must bring lunch money or a bagged lunch) and is available for the first forty juniors to sign up.

 

FISH ‘N GAME CLUB’S 60TH ANNUAL GAME SUPPER

The Fish'N Game Club will be hosting its 60th Annual Game Supper this Thursday beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the Mahar Cafeteria. The evening includes a menu featuring moose, deer, bear, trout, and pheasant donated by local sportsmen, awards presentation, and fantastic raffle prizes. Tickets are $15 and are available through club members, Ms. Gonciarz, Mr. Duguay, and at the door. 

KEY CLUB SPRING FLING TRIVIA NIGHT

Do you like trivia?  Find 4 friends and sign up as a team of five to compete in the Key Club’s Spring Fling Trivia Competition on Friday, March 23rd beginning at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  There will be awesome team prizes for each round of competition and a grand prize for the most correct answers.  The registration fee for each team of five people is $15.00.  Students in grades 9 -12 must register their teams with Miss Smith in the Key Club room by Wednesday March 21st.  Faculty and staff are also encouraged to create and register teams; teams can be student, faculty, or a mix of student and faculty.  Come participate in this fun event.

 

CRIMINAL JUSTICE FIELD TRIP

Are you interested in a career in Criminal Justice? On Wednesday, March 21st, students from

R.C. Mahar will visit the Franklin County Sheriff's Office & House of Corrections in Greenfield for an information session on career pathways and training opportunities with the Sheriff's Department and a tour of the facility.  This field trip is open to students in Grades 10-12, space is limited to 15 students and must be in good academic standing.  Permission slips are available in Student Services and are due by tomorrow.  The bus will leave school at 8:15 and return by 11:45.

 

COLLEGE VISIT FOR SENIORS

A representative from the University of New England will be in Student Services tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.  If you are interested in seeing the representative from this college, please sign up in either Student Services or your Health class.  Please remember to get your college visit pass after signing up.

 

KEY CLUB CAN DRIVE

On Friday, March 16, and March 23, the Key Club will be collecting clean, redeemable cans and bottles from students in the office lobby in the morning.  All profits go to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children to fight child abuse.  Please help this worthwhile cause. 

 

Today’s lunch is beef Shephard’s pie.
