NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
Members of the National Junior Honor Society must turn in order forms for the spring fundraiser to Mrs. Marshall in M03 by tomorrow.
Workers Credit Union is offering a scholarship and the deadline is tomorrow. The applications are available in Student Services. Also, Scholarship booklet #3 is now available in Student Services.
ELA MCAS TUTORING
For grade 10 students: There will be ELA MCAS tutoring every Tuesday from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. and every Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in room H04. All 10th grade students are encouraged to attend if they feel they need a little refresher before the MCAS test. Remember that you are not required to stay the entire two hours. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Bashaw or Mrs. Kaczmarzyk.
ATTENTION INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES
Indoor track awards will be March 6th at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please bring a dessert to share. Also, please be sure to turn in your uniforms if you are not doing outdoor track. If you have any questions, please see Coach Woodward.
SPRING SPORTS SIGN UPS
Spring sports sign-ups will be held on March 8th at 2:10 in the high school gym. This is for all students in grades 7 – 12 wanting to play a spring sport.
For those interested in doing tech-crew for the play, there will be a meeting on Wednesday March 8th in C15 at 2:15. This includes those interested in lights, sound, set building, and stage crew. If you are interested and cannot attend, please see Mr. Bevan.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAM SIGN-UPS
AP Exam sign –ups will continue through Friday, March 17th. You may sign up in Student Services. Please see Mrs. Tresback or Mr. Sullivan for any additional questions.
Any senior wishing to play in the volleyball game or the basketball game against the faculty on Thursday March 9th should sign up with Miss Smith in the Key Club room by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7th. Also, any seniors wishing to be cheerleaders for this event should sign up in the Key Club room by 2 p.m. on March 7th. Please sign up before school in the morning. We will take 15 people for the volleyball team and 15 people for the basketball team; we would like to have both male and female players. We are asking participants to pay a $1.00 fee as we are trying to raise funds for the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute.
There will be a Key Club Spaghetti Supper this Friday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Mahar cafeteria. The menu includes spaghetti with meat or meatless sauce, salad bar, garlic bread, beverage, and homemade dessert on an “all-you-can-eat” basis. Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12. Tickets are available from Key Club members. They will also be sold during lunch today and tomorrow, and at the door. If you’re going to the basketball game, you don’t have to cook. Come enjoy a wonderful spaghetti supper before heading out.
Today’s lunch is chicken bruschetta or grilled cheese.
