Tryouts for Middle School baseball will be held today from 2:15 – 4:30.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL
There will be a Middle School Social tomorrow from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Mahar Cafeteria. Tickets will be sold during lunches for $5.00 or $6.00 at the door.
MAHAR CANOE AND KAYAK CLUB
There will be a Mahar Canoe and Kayak Club meeting next Wednesday after school from 2:00 –
3:00 in room C14. The April fundraiser will be discussed. Registration forms will be given for the 2017 season. Any questions please see Mrs. Normandin in C14.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SOFTBALL TRYOUTS
Middle School softball tryouts will be held next Tuesday from 2:15 – 3:30; Wednesday, 2:15 – 4:30 and Thursday, 3:15 – 5:00.
FIRST AID AND CPR CERTIFICATION FOR STUDENTS
High school students interested in obtaining their first aid and CPR certification are invited to sign up for free classes to take place here at school on April 24th and 27th. The classes will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on both days and require a signed permission slip. Space is limited to the first 12 students to return permission slips. Students have to be in good academic standing to be able to attend. Forms are available in the Student Services Office.
CHILDREN’S CLOTHING DRIVE
Mahar's 8th grade Project 351 Ambassadors are conducting a clothing drive for lightly-used children's clothes. We ask that you clean out your drawers and closets to benefit Cradles to Crayons, an organization that serves families with need across the state. Drop-off bins are found in the School Office and Student Services.
FROM KEY CLUB
The Mahar Key Club is sponsoring a night of volleyball and basketball tonight starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Mahar gym. Games include the O.R.A. elementary school teams and the Mahar faculty against the seniors in both volleyball and basketball. There will also be a shooting contest. The admission price is $2.00 for Mahar students and adults and $1.00 for children under 12. All profits will go the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute in Boston.
STUDENTS AND STAFF
Tomorrow the Key Club will be collecting clean, redeemable cans and bottles from students in the office lobby in the morning. All profits go to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children to fight child abuse. Please help this worthwhile cause.
