129th Day of School

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS

Students are reminded that teachers are not available for extra help or makeup on Monday afternoons. Students who would like to stay after school on Mondays to complete work or students who are waiting for sports practices to start, are to report to the cafeteria by 2:15. Students should not wander the building at that time.

 

NO LATE BUS THIS WEEK

Because of the delayed openings for MCAS testing, there will be no late bus on Tuesday, March 27th and Wednesday, March 28th

 

CHILDREN’S CLOTHING DRIVE FOR CRADLES TO CRAYONS

Mahar is participating in the statewide children’s clothing drive from March 26 to April 5.  Please make the difference in the lives of children across Massachusetts by donating new or gently used children’s clothing, coats and shoes.  This event has been organized by the four 8th graders participating in Project 351.  Drop off bins located in both school offices.

Athol-Orange Community Television will be hosting an open house for students interested in learning more about Communications. Explore the studio, green screen, radio and tv areas. If you are interested in learning more about making your own cable tv or radio show or learn the technical side of things, come to the open house with your questions tomorrow from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Refreshments provided. FROM THE NEW SALEM LIBRARY

New date and time: April 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Virtual Reality Workshop with Arthur and Peter Evans. Open to teens and adults. Call to sign up as space is limited 978-544-6334. "This program is supported in part by a grant from the New Salem Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency."

 "Illustrated Journaling" with Kerry Stone is for two Tuesdays, March 27, and April 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the New Salem Library. There will be a $12 material fee and the class is geared toward beginners.
