SPORTS DISMISSAL

The middle school baseball team will be dismissed at 1:45.


MCAS TESTING FOR GRADE 8 TODAY

Students in grade 8 will be taking the STE MCAS today.  THERE WILL BE NO DELAYED OPENING.  All students will arrive for a 7:45 start.  Grade 8 students will report to their testing sites and have breakfast in the classroom before testing begins.

 

ALL STUDENTS

Students are asked to check their school email for a survey.

 

MATH MCAS TUTORING

For grade 10 students: There will be Math MCAS tutoring today and tomorrow from 2:00 – 4:00 and next Monday & Tuesday from 3:00-5:00 in room H03. All 10th grade students are encouraged to attend if they feel they need a little refresher before the MCAS test. Remember that you are not required to stay the entire two hours. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Sullivan.


SPRING SPIRIT WEEK

The Mahar Student Council will be hosting its annual Spring Spirit Week and Monday May 21st through May 25th.  Show your school spirit and Dress to Unimpress on Monday, Tourist Day on Tuesday, Superhero Day on Wednesday, Class Color Day on Thursday and Senior Citizen Day on Friday. Also, remember to see Ms. Allain-Moody or Mr. Kirouac if you haven't signed up to participate in the Senator Games Field and Track events held on Thursday afternoon May 24th. 

 

2 FREE GOLF LESSONS FOR 10 MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

The Ellinwood Country Club will provide 2 free golf lessons for up to 10 middle school students.  The dates for the lessons have changed.  The new dates are June 6 and 7 from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m.  Please sign up with Mr. Woodward, the Athletic Director, ASAP.

 

FOOTBALL CHEERING TRYOUTS

Football cheering tryouts will be held on Wednesday, May 30th and Thursday, May 31st in the Charlotte Ryan Theater.  This will be a 2 day tryout.

 

MAHAR CANOE AND KAYAK CLUB

The Canoe and Kayak Club will be paddling today after school (weather permitting). 

 

JETS

Mahar’s JETS team (high school and middle school) will have their end of the year celebration on Tuesday from 2:10 – 3:00 in the teachers’ dining room.  We have much to celebrate.

FISH ‘N GAME CLUB

Fish’N Game Club members should check their Mahar email for a google form regarding the Spring Fishing Derby this Saturday May 19. See Ms. Gonciarz or Mr. Duguay if you have any questions. 

 

FRIENDLY TOWN LIVE CONCERT

Tomorrow from 7 – 9 p.m., touring group the Reprobate Blues Band will perform a Friendly Town Live concert at Butterfield Park.  The concert is free for all ages.  There will be free candy while supplies last.  If it rains, the concert moves to the Orange Town Hall.

 

Today’s lunch is pulled pork.
