54th Day of School

 

LATE BUS SIGN UPS

Students must sign up for the late bus during their lunch time.  The book will be located in the cafeteria.  Please make sure to write your first name and last name when you sign up and also list the teacher you will be staying with.

 

WINTER SPORTS SIGN UPS

Winter sports sign-ups are today at 2:10 in the high school gym.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL

There will be an important Middle School Student Council meeting today in Mrs. Messing’s room from 2:15 – 3:00. 

 

SOS

The next SOS meeting is tomorrow from 3:00 – 5:00 in room H03.  Anyone is welcome! Please see Mrs. Sullivan if you have any questions.

 

PEER MEDIATION

All Peer Mediators are encouraged to attend the seminar this Thursday at 10:00 in the Kermit Cook Auditorium.

 

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Information for the Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund is now available in Student Services.  The deadline is March 31st.

 

FISH ‘N GAME CLUB

Permission forms for an excused absence to go hunting on opening day of deer season (Monday November 27) have been emailed to Fish' N Game Club members. To pick up a paper copy, or if you have any questions, high school members should see Ms. Gonciarz and middle school members should see Mr. Duguay. Permission forms are due next Monday November 20.

 

BASKETBALL CHEERING TRYOUTS

Basketball cheering tryouts for grades 7 – 12 will be on Monday, November 27th and Tuesday, November 28th from 2:15 – 5:00 in the auditorium.  This will be a two day tryout.

 

MUSICAL

There will be an informational meeting about the school musical, “The Little Mermaid” next Tuesday, November 21st in the Kermit Cook Auditorium from 2:05 – 3:00.

HILLSIDE PIZZA AND COOKIE FUNDRAISER

France travelers are selling Organic Hillside Pizza and cookie dough through November 17th.  Pick up of your orders is next Wednesday, November 22nd in the cafeteria, just in time for Thanksgiving break.  Order forms are available in H08.  Teachers and staff can find a form in the high school teacher’s room and high school office area, or even better, order through a traveler!

 

SPIRIT WEEK

Spirit Week will take place next Monday through Wednesday.  Monday is “Dress to Unimpress” Day, Tuesday is “Tie Dye” Tuesday, Wednesday is Senator Spirit Day and students should wear blue and red.

 

STUDENT COUNCIL

There will be a Student Council meeting tomorrow during E block.  This meeting will be held in the cafeteria.

 

AMERICA RECYCLES DAY

November 15th is America Recycles Day.  How can we make Mahar greener? On November 7th, staff members received an email about taking the recycling pledge.  Let’s try to recycle faithfully.  Our breakfast bags, juice boxes and bags and cracker wrappers are all recyclable.  Let’s form a Green Team.

 

FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

The Key Club Thanksgiving Can Drive continues through Tuesday, November 21.  Please bring your contributions to this year’s drive so that we can insure that everyone has a happy Thanksgiving.  There will be a collection spot in the lobby near the main office and in the middle school each morning.

 

Today’s lunch is fajita rice bowl.
