58th Day of School

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS

Students are reminded that teachers are not available for extra help or makeup on Monday afternoons.  Students who would like to stay after school on Mondays to complete work or students who are waiting for sports practices to start, are to report to the cafeteria by 2:15.  Students should not wander the building at that time.

 

EARLY DISMISSAL THIS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2017

There will be an early dismissal on Wednesday. Students will be dismissed at 10:15 with bus departure at 10:20.

 

MUSICAL

There will be an informational meeting about the school musical "The Little Mermaid" tomorrow in the Kermit Cook Auditorium from 2:05 - 3:00.  

 

FISH ‘N GAME CLUB

Today is the deadline for permission forms for an excused absence to go hunting on opening day of deer season (Monday November 27).  If you have any questions, high school members should see Ms. Gonciarz and middle school members should see Mr. Duguay.

 

BASKETBALL CHEERING TRYOUTS

Basketball cheering tryouts for grades 7 – 12 will be on Monday, November 27th and Tuesday, November 28th from 2:15 – 5:00 in the auditorium.  This will be a two day tryout.

 

SPIRIT WEEK

This week is Spirit Week.  Tomorrow is “Tie Dye” Tuesday and Wednesday is Senator Spirit Day and students should wear blue and red.

 

KEY CLUB

The Key Club meeting will be tomorrow beginning at 6:30 in the cafeteria.

 

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES

A reminder for those of you who signed up to take the Pre-ACT Test here at Mahar on Tuesday, December 19th in the library.  The cost is $12 cash or check made out to Ralph C. Mahar. Please pay in Student Services. The deadline is Wednesday, December 13th.  Please see Ms. Mahaney with questions.

 

 

FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

Tomorrow is the last day for the Key Club Thanksgiving Can Drive.  Please bring your contributions to this year’s drive so that we can insure that everyone has a happy Thanksgiving.  There will be a collection spot in the lobby near the main office and in the middle school each morning.  As of Friday, the results of the drive are as follows: student ranking:  3rd place – grade 8 with 51 pounds; 2nd place – grade 12 with 80 pounds and 1st place – grade 11 with 330 pounds.  Staff ranking is 1,106 pounds.  Please remember to bring your can goods tomorrow.

 

Today’s lunch is hot dog on a whole wheat bun.
