EARLY DISMISSAL TODAY

Students will be dismissed at 10:15 with bus departure at 10:20.

 

BASKETBALL CHEERING TRYOUTS

Basketball cheering tryouts for grades 7 – 12 will be on Monday, November 27th and Tuesday, November 28th from 2:15 – 5:00 in the auditorium.  This will be a two day tryout.

 

YEARBOOK

Our first meeting of the year is Tuesday, November 28th at 2:15 in room H06. Any student interested in helping out this year should attend. We will be picking the cover and working on the senior section. The company representative will be attending the meeting.

 

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES

A reminder for those of you who signed up to take the Pre-ACT Test here at Mahar on Tuesday, December 19th in the library.  The cost is $12 cash or check made out to Ralph C. Mahar. Please pay in Student Services. The deadline is Wednesday, December 13th.  Please see Ms. Mahaney with questions.

 

SOS

The next SOS meeting is next Wednesday, November 29th from 2:10 – 3:00 in room H03. Anyone is welcome! Please see Mrs. Sullivan if you have any questions

 

SANTA FUND

The Mahar Key Club will be collecting for the Orange Santa Fund Drive beginning Monday, November 27th through Friday, December 1st.  Please have your money ready and be prepared to make donations so that everyone will have a happy holiday season.

 

FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

As of yesterday, the results of the Thanksgiving can drive are as follows:  6th place - Grade 10 with 35 pounds; 5th place - Grade 9 with 91 pounds; 4th place - Grade 8 with 143 pounds; 3rd place - Grade 7 with 151 pounds; 2nd place - Grade 12 with 214 pounds; 1st place - Grade 11 with 509 pounds; Staff with 1,619 pounds.  The Key Club would like to thank all the students, faculty, and school personnel who helped to make the drive a success. The Middle School Pennies for Turkeys drive contributed and the Middle School Social also resulted in a welcome donation of canned goods. The Senior National Honor Society also contributed to the drive. The Swift River Elementary School donated a significant quantity of food.  We assembled   81   boxes and serviced 81 families.  Thank you all for your help and generosity; we couldn’t do the project without you.
