61st Day of School

 

LATE BUS SIGN UPS

Mr. Malo will have a sign up book at all lunches and the book will be in the Middle School office until 1:30.

 

JETS

The JETS teams will be meeting in Mrs. Schulze’s room today after school to discuss smart cars.  Both high school and middle school teams should come with their November math challenge completed.  The challenge is posted on Google classroom.

 

SKI CLUB

Anyone interested in participating in the Wachusett Mountain Ski Club, please see Ms. Riddell, Ms. Cote, Ms. Gonciarz or Mrs. Schulze as soon as possible.  Forms can be picked up from Ms. Riddell and will be available in the cafeteria at lunches.  The deadline is this Thursday.

 

BASKETBALL CHEERING TRYOUTS

There will be tryouts for grades 7 – 12 today and tomorrow from 3:00 – 5:00 in the auditorium. 

 

MAHAR YEARBOOK

The Mahar Yearbook Committee will meet tomorrow at 2:15 in room H06.  Students and committee members interested in choosing the yearbook cover should attend the meeting.

 

KEY CLUB

There will be a Key Club meeting tomorrow beginning at 7 p.m.  Please have departure rides here for 8 p.m.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Tryouts will be this Thursday and Friday from 2:30 – 5:00 in the middle school gym.

 

ARCHERY

The Archery Club will not be meeting tomorrow.  The next meeting will be Wednesday, December 14th.

 

COOKIE PICK UP FOR FISH ‘N GAME CLUB FUNDRAISER

Students who sold cookies for the Fish ‘N Game Club fundraiser back in September are to meet in the cafeteria between 2:10 and 3:00 tomorrow to pick up your cookie orders.

 

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is offering a college scholarship specifically to students whose life has been affected by MS.  Also, the Ronald McDonald House Charities offers a scholarship for graduating seniors who are exemplary role models in their community.  Information on both of these scholarships is available in Student Services with a deadline of January 18th.

 

SOPHOMORES

A practice test for the ACT Test will be held on Thursday December 22nd, here at Mahar, for interested sophomores.  The test costs $12.00 and is great practice for the ACT, which you may take in your junior year.  Please see Mrs. Tresback in the Guidance office to sign up as soon as possible.

 

MAHAR THEATRE

Miss those summer nights? Well you're the one that I want. Mahar Theatre will be having an informational meeting about this year's production: GREASE, tomorrow in the Kermit Cook Auditorium.  Leather jackets encouraged. 

 

SANTA FUND

The Mahar Key Club will be collecting for the Orange Santa Fund Drive through Friday, December 2nd.  Please have your money ready and be prepared to make donations so that everyone will have a happy holiday season.

 

Today’s lunch is popcorn chicken or roast beef sub.
