SPORTS DISMISSAL

The middle school field hockey team will be dismissed today at 1:50.

 

COMBINED REHEARSALS

Middle School chorus rehearsal is AB block today.  High School chorus combined rehearsal is in the third block, GH.  Both of these rehearsals will be in the Kermit Cook Auditorium.

 

DELAYED OPENING NEXT TUESDAY

There will be a delayed opening for students on Tuesday, October 18th.  Doors will open at 10:05 a.m. and classes will begin at 10:15 a.m.

 

PEER MEDIATION

All peer mediators are invited to the seminar today from 10:00 – 10:40 in the Kermit Cook Auditorium.

 

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Today’s meeting is from 2:15 – 3:00 in the Kermit Cook Auditorium.  This is our rehearsal for induction.

 

COLLEGE VISITS FOR SENIORS

A representative from American International College will be here tomorrow at 8:30.  Worcester State University will be here on Monday at 8:30.  If you are interested in seeing the representatives from these colleges, please sign up in either Student Services or your Health class.  Please remember to get your college visit pass after signing up.

 

YOUTH SPEECH COMPETITION

The Petersham and Orange Lions Clubs are jointly sponsoring a Massachusetts Youth Speech Competition here at Mahar on November 16th in the Charlotte Ryan Theater.  Please contact Mr. Speek in room H20 if you are interested in participating in this rewarding opportunity.  The deadline is tomorrow.

 

PICTURE RETAKE DAY

Picture retake day will be Tuesday, October 25th.  If you are having your pictures retaken, you must return your original package to the photographer on retake day.  If you were absent on that day and would like to have your picture taken, there are order forms in the middle school office.

 

MAHAR CANCER WALK

The Mahar Cancer Walk Committee would like to thank the girls’ volleyball teams, the Mahar cheerleaders, Mahar Key Club members, Mahar alumni and teachers and their families for their part in the 11th Annual Cancer Walk.  We were able to raise $3,300 to help support those in our community fighting this terrible disease.

 

Today’s lunch is chicken stir fry with noodles or turkey and cheese sub.
