35th Day of School

 

DELAYED OPENING TOMORROW

There will be a delayed opening for students tomorrow.  Doors will open at 10:30, classes begin at 10:40.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS

Students are reminded that teachers are not available for extra help or makeup on Monday afternoons.  Students who would like to stay after school on Mondays to complete work or students who are waiting for sports practices to start, are to report to the cafeteria by 2:15.  Students should not wander the building at that time.

 

COLLEGE VISITS FOR SENIORS

Representatives from New England Institute of Technology will be here on Wednesday at 11:00 and Elms College will be here at 1:00.  Also, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will be here on Friday, October 20th at 11:00.  If you are interested in seeing these representatives, please sign up in either Student Services or your health class.  Please remember to get your college visit pass after signing up.

 

FRANKLIN TECH FIELD TRIP

All 8th grade students living in Franklin County are encouraged to tour Franklin Tech on November 3rd.  Permission slips are available in Student Services and will need to be returned by Wednesday. 

 

YEARBOOK SENIOR PICTURES

Just a reminder that senior pictures are due by November 1st

The High School JETS team will meet in Mrs. Schulze's room tomorrow after school.  We will be discussing the essay challenge of greening a local building.

 

7th GRADE STUDENTS

The deadline for the MWCC North Central, Mass Talent Search applications and your yellow 7th grade permission slips to the 7th Grade Leadership Conference is this Thursday in order to go on the first Leadership trip.  Please give your completed forms to Ms. P in Room S01 or Mrs. Brunelle.

 

 

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY

The results for the election of the National Junior Honor Society offices are as follows: President – Thomas Martin, Jr., Vice-President – Hannah Dupont; Treasurer – Elias Spencer; Secretary – Gracie Martin.  There will be a brief meeting of these officers on Wednesday at 2:15 in Mrs. Marshall’s room, M12.

 

KEY CLUB HOMECOMING DANCE

The Key Club Homecoming Dance is this Saturday from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. in the Mahar cafeteria.   Announcement of winners in the parade competition and in the lip sync competition and the presentation of the Homecoming royalty will be at 8:40 p.m.  Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $6.00 at the door; they will be sold during lunch this Thursday and Friday.  You may also purchase tickets from Miss Smith in the morning before school.  Guests must be signed up with Miss Smith in the Key Club room (in the back of the library) by 2 p.m. on Friday.

 

Today’s lunch is beef ravioli & garlic bread.
