40th Day of
School
NO SCHOOL ON
FRIDAY FOR STUDENTS
On Friday, October 27th,
there will be a Professional Development Day for teachers, therefore there is
no school for students.
FIELD TRIP TODAY
The students on the Emily
Dickinson field trip today will be dismissed from their classes at 9:40 and are
to meet outside the middle school office.
SPORTS
DISMISSAL
The JV football team will
be dismissed at 1:30 today.
ATTENTION
STUDENTS
Students are reminded that
teachers are not available for extra help or makeup on Monday afternoons. Students who would like to stay after school
on Mondays to complete work or students who are waiting for sports practices to
start, are to report to the cafeteria by 2:15.
Students should not wander the building at that time.
PICTURE RETAKE DAY
O’Connor Studios will be returning tomorrow for
students who were absent on picture day, or for those who need their portrait
package retaken. If you’d like to order
pictures, please use your original order form, or pick up a new form in the
office. If you are having your picture retaken,
return your original package to the photographer on retake day. No order form is necessary. Please note that retakes are only offered for
students who paid for a portrait, or who were absent the first day.
COLLEGE VISITS FOR SENIORS
Representatives from Framingham State
University will be here tomorrow at 1:00.
Mount Wachusett Community College will be here on Wednesday at 8:30. Saint Anselm College will be here on Thursday
at 1:30. Also, on Tuesday, October 31st, UMass/Dartmouth will be
here at 8:00 and Westfield State University will be here at 10:00. If you are interested in seeing these
representatives, please sign up in either Student Services or your health
class. Please remember to get your
college visit pass after signing up.
ATTENTION
JUNIORS AND SENIORS
Permission slips are now
available in Student Services for the November 17th Armed
Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) for students who are interested in
pursuing military careers. Slips are due back by November 3rd to
take part in this opportunity.

‘N GAME
The Fish 'N Game Club will
be hosting a fall fishing derby this Saturday at Silver Lake from 9
a.m. to 1 p.m. The derby is open to all club members in the high school
and middle school. Please check your Mahar email for more information. See Ms.
Gonciarz or Mr. Duguay if you have any questions.
ARCHERY
CLUB
Archery Club will be
meeting this Wednesday from 2:15 to 3 in the middle school gym. Stop
in if you are interested in competing or just want to have some fun shooting.

7TH
GRADE STUDENTS
The deadline to submit
your field trip permission slip to the 7th Grade Leadership Conference
on November 3rd is Thursday, October 26th.
KEY CLUB
There will be a Key Club meeting Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria prior to
the Halloween activity which begins at 6 p.m.
