40th Day of School

 

SPORTS DISMISSALS

The JV and varsity girls’ soccer teams will be dismissed at 1:30 today.

 

NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON FRIDAY

This Friday is the Franklin County In-service day, therefore there is no school for students.

 

LIBRARY

The library will be closed after school today.

 

LATE BUS

Students will not be able to sign up on Chromebooks.  Mr. Malo will have a sign up book at all lunches and the book will be in the Middle School office until 1:30.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL HOMEWORK CLUB

The Middle School Math Homework Club will be on Tuesday and Wednesday in room C13 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

 

8TH GRADE FIELD TRIP

Students interested in a tour of the Franklin County Technical School must turn in their permission slips to Student Services by this Thursday.

 

WRESTLING

To any student interested in wrestling this winter season, there will be an important preseason meeting tomorrow from 2:00 – 3:00.  Please plan on attending. 

 

ROBOTICS CLUB

The club will be meeting today after school in Ms. Cote’s room, C05.  We have to finish building both robots and prepare for the November 19th competition at WPI.  Only 2 teams will be going to the competition and the list of participants must be finalized.  Everyone is welcome.

 

MY LITTLE PONY CLUB

The club will meet today from 3:00 – 4:00 in room S02.  We look forward to seeing you there.  Please see Ms. Church or James Duteau with any questions.  Refreshments will be served.

 

 

 

KEY CLUB

There will be a Key Club meeting this Thursday at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria prior to the Halloween event.  Please remember to turn in your candy to Miss Smith.

 

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY

Members and inductees participating in the National Junior Honor Society tomorrow evening should attend rehearsal tomorrow morning at 9:15 in the Kermit Cook Auditorium.  Please be prompt.

 

SOS

There is no SOS this week, but don’t forget to fundraise! See Mrs. Sullivan for the fundraiser order forms.

 

ASVAB

Permission slips for the ASVAB military service exam are now available in Student Services.  This free exam will be held on November 17th at Mahar, and is available to juniors and seniors.  Permission slips are due by November 3rd.

 

COLLEGE VISITS FOR SENIORS

Representatives from the following colleges will be in Student Services on Tuesday, November 1st: Elms College at 12:30 and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at 1:00.  If you are interested in seeing a representative from either of these colleges, please sign up in either Student Services or your Health Class.  Please remember to get your college visit pass after signing up.

 

FROM STUDENT COUNCIL

Which class will decorate their section of the hallway the best for Halloween and win points towards the Senator Games? Come help your class WIN the Halloween decorating contest. Decorating will take place tomorrow from 3:00 - 5:00 outside the Library.  See

HOMECOMING THANK YOU

The Key Club would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Homecoming Weekend:

The class advisors – Mr. Sullivan, Miss Cole, Mr. Kirouac, Mr. Bashaw, Miss Gwosch, Mrs. Messing, and Miss Vorce, and classes who made banners and participated in the lip sync.

The Homecoming royalty, all the varsity coaches and teams:  Mr. Bailey, Mr. Guertin, Mrs. Saisa, Miss Woodward, Mr. Softic, and Mrs. Bouchard, Mr. Woodward for coordinating events.   

Mr. Dion, Mr. Inman and Mr. DeWitt for helping with the tailgate party.  Helene Holmes, Abby Holmes, Miss Woodward, Miss Penna, Mr. Mercier, and Mrs. Hammond for judging the lip sync.

Mrs. Hammond, Mrs. Paradis, and Mrs. LaCroix for judging the class banners. The art teachers Mrs. Ganson, Miss Miller, and Miss Belanger for help with the banners.  Ms. Vorce for helping with the banners and the parade.  Miss Ridell for the sound truck.  Mr. George Hunt for the flatbed.  Mr. Chad Softic for announcing.  Mr. Mercier and Mrs. MacDowell for chaperoning the     dance.  The custodians for their help setting up and cleaning up for events.  The cafeteria staff for preparing the tailgate food. Thank you all for your help.

 

Today’s lunch is cheese quesadilla.
