A MESSAGE FROM MR. HEMLIN

In an effort to help schools impacted by Hurricane Harvey, our school has adopted two schools in the Houston area in order to assist them with their recovery efforts.  The two schools are C.E. King High School and Dean Middle School.  Both schools are in need of basic materials such as school supplies, toiletries, and clothing.  Gift cards will also be helpful.  Collection bins have been set up in the middle school and high school offices.  Please donate what you can in order to assist the students and teachers of our adopted schools.  If you are donating a gift card, please give the card directly to one of the administrative assistants in either the middle school or high school office.

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

September 15th to October 15th marks Hispanic Heritage Month. It is important to take this time to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the group’s heritage and culture.  Here is your fact for today: Did you know that Olympic Gymnast Laurie Hernandez is from Old Bridge, New Jersey? Laurie is the first Latina gymnast to compete in the Olympics in the past 30 years. She has a gold medal in the team event and a silver medal for her performance on the balance beam!

Today’s lunch is Macaroni & cheese or sandwich bar.
