A MESSAGE FROM MR. HEMLIN

In an effort to help schools impacted by Hurricane Harvey, our school has adopted two schools in the Houston area in order to assist them with their recovery efforts.  The two schools are C.E. King High School and Dean Middle School.  Both schools are in need of basic materials such as school supplies, toiletries, and clothing.  Gift cards will also be helpful.  Collection bins have been set up in the middle school and high school offices.  Please donate what you can in order to assist the students and teachers of our adopted schools.  If you are donating a gift card, please give the card directly to one of the administrative assistants in either the middle school or high school office.

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, here is your fact for today:  Tom Flores is one of only two people to win a Super Bowl as a player, an assistant coach, and as a head coach. He is the first Hispanic starting quarterback and the first minority head coach in professional football history to win a Super Bowl.

Today’s lunch is chicken and gravy or sandwich bar.
