A MESSAGE FROM MR. HEMLIN

In an effort to help schools impacted by Hurricane Harvey, our school has adopted two schools in the Houston area in order to assist them with their recovery efforts.  The two schools are C.E. King High School and Dean Middle School.  Both schools are in need of basic materials such as school supplies, toiletries, and clothing.  Gift cards will also be helpful.  Collection bins have been set up in the middle school and high school offices.  Please donate what you can in order to assist the students and teachers of our adopted schools.  If you are donating a gift card, please give the card directly to one of the administrative assistants in either the middle school or high school office.

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month here is your fact for today: The First Lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death, Eva Peron ran the Ministries of Labor and Health, championed women’s suffrage and labor rights, and established and ran the Eva Perón foundation. The Ministry of Health’s headquarters is located in the center of Buenos Aires. To honor her achievements, her face is shown on both the North and South sides of the building.

Today’s lunch is breakfast for lunch or sandwich bar.
