To the Parents and Guardians of our 8^th Grade Students

Hello,

 We are pleased to provide details about our next 8^th grade fundraiser. Please take some time to read through the details and feel free to contact the undersigned with any questions.

We are running a raffle to generate funds that will help defray a portion of student costs associated with 8^th grade school-related activities. Parents and members of our local community have stepped up to provide us with some incredible prizes. We are extremely optimistic about the success of this fundraiser and with good reason.  All of the funds generated will go directly to the 8^th grade student account. It means that we will be able to earn more money to defray the cost of our trip to Boston in May.  

We have allocated 2 books of tickets per student, and as always, participation in fundraisers is not required.  If you choose not to participate in this fundraiser, please return the envelope and tickets. Any tickets that are not returned will be considered sold.  People wishing to obtain more tickets should contact the undersigned or one of the 8^th grade teachers. Please be sure that each ticket stub has the buyers name, address and phone number.   All fundraising envelopes will be due back at school by February 15^th. We are planning an event at the school on Wednesday 27^th February to draw the winning tickets.

We are hoping that everyone will participate and we have prizes for the 5 students who sell the most tickets.  A full list of the prizes will be made available to students, as well as published on the school’s website- www.rcmahar.org.

70% of your student’s ticket sales will be set aside to pay costs associated with the Boston field trip, or any school related activity during this school year.  The remaining 30% will be deposited into the general middle school account. Any money that is left in the 8^th grade account at the end of this school year will become part of the general fund for the class of 2012.  

Please return your ticket stubs and monies in a sealed envelope. We will be collecting ticket stubs and money each day.
